1 dead, 2 hurt in triple shooting in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — One person was killed and two others were injured in an overnight triple shooting in Norfolk.

Police say someone flagged down an officer on E. Virginia Beach Boulevard around 11:15 p.m. Thursday by a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The officers found two more victims in the immediate area. One man was treated at the scene, and declined further treatment.

A second man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. Both men are expected to recover from their injuries.

The third victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have classified this case as a homicide and malicious wounding investigation. No information has been released on a possible suspect or suspects.
