2 injured in three-car crash involving SUV, truck and tractor-trailer

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were sent to the hospital following a two-car crash in Suffolk Friday morning between a SUV, a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer.

Suffolk Police say the accident happened on U.S. Route 58 near the SPSA Regional Landfill. Emergency crews were called to the area shortly before 8 a.m.

An adult and juvenile were taken to Sentara Obici Hospital following the accident.

Police say two eastbound lanes shutdown immediately following the accident. Traffic lanes were reopened at 9:18 a.m.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
