SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A California startup is using it’s technology to help track the Zika virus at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The device being used by athletes is the Kinsa, the first FDA-approved app-enabled smart thermometer.

It works with and in conjunction with smartphones, and helps groups of people, like the athletes in the Olympic village, track fevers and symptoms in the area.
