CHARLOTTESVILLE (WAVY) — The Virginia Cavaliers opened up its summer practice sessions under first-year head coach Bronco Mendenhall.
Virginia is in search of a cultural make over. The Cavaliers finished seven of its last eights seasons with a losing record. Mendenhall had 10-straight winning seasons at BYU before coming to Charlottesville.
With a track record like that, the players are naturally buying in.
“If you don’t embrace it you’re gone,” said safety Quin Blanding from Virginia Beach. “If you don’t buy into what we do here, you’re just gone, that’s the bottom line.”
