Virginia veterans to condemn Trump ahead of Pence event in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A group of Virginia veterans say they will be holding a news conference Thursday to condemn Donald Trump ahead of running mate Mike Pence’s event in Norfolk.

GOP VP hopeful Pence to visit Norfolk, Virginia Beach

The group says they will be condemning Trump’s “disgraceful” attack against a Viriginia Gold Star family.

Trump’s comments following Khizr Khan’s speech at the Democratic National Convention has drawn criticism from both Democrats and Republicans.

Several veterans will gather at the Waterfront Plaza at 5:30 p.m. for the news conference.
