Red flags flying in Va. Beach for dangerous surf

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — City officials in Virginia Beach say red flags will be flying at three area beaches Thursday due to dangerous surf.

The flags will be flying at Resort, Croatan, and North End beaches, according to a tweet from city officials.

The National Weather Service says there is a moderate risk for rip currents in Virginia Beach through Thursday evening.
