Police seek suspect in armed robbery at Hampton business

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police are looking to identify a suspect in an armed robbery at a convenience store.

It happened at 11:22 p.m. Sunday at The Aberdeen Food Mart, located in the 900 block of Aberdeen Road.

Police say an investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, displayed a gun and demanded money. After receiving money, the suspect ran from the scene, towards the 1500 block of Briarfield Road.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

Police described the suspect as a black male, between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black mask covering his face, a black long-sleeve shirt of jacket and black pants.
