Man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting children he met at unlicensed home daycare in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man has pled guilty to sexually assaulting multiple children that he met through his wife’s unlicensed home daycare business.

John “Jake” Frey, 68, pled guilty Tuesday to sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust-pattern of abuse.

Frey was arrested on February 24, after police discovered he had sexually assaulted a child he met through his wife’s home daycare on Congenial Place in Colorado Springs.

As of March 17, a total of four victims, all under the age of 10, had come forward.

Frey will be sentenced on October 4. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
