Hampton police need help to ID suspect in Ricco’s Pizza robbery

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police are asking for help to identify the suspect in a robbery at Ricco’s Pizza on Sunday, July 3.

At 10:10 p.m., officers were called to a robbery that had just happened at the pizza shop, which is located in the first block of West Mercury Boulevard.

An investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business through a door in the back, showed a gun and demanded money. After he was given cash, the suspect ran out, heading towards Green Street. Police say the suspect fired one shot inside the business and one shot after leaving.

No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a black male between 30 and 40-years-old with a bald head and a large, bushy beard. He was last seen wearing a gray coat with a red stripe in the middle and a blue stripe at the bottom. The suspect was also seen wearing a Halloween-style mask, police say.
