Suspect wanted in connection to 4 armed business robberies

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) –  Police are asking for help to find a man wanted in connection to four armed robberies at local convenience stores in different areas of Norfolk.

According to police, in all four of the robberies, the man walked into the convenience stores armed with a gun and demanded money from each of the store clerks. After obtaining the money, the man fled each location before officers arrived.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.

Police say the suspect robbed three 7-Elevens — one on Granby Street, another on Chesapeake Boulevard, a third on Colley Avenue — and also robbed a One Stop on Tidewater Drive.

Police described him as a black male, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing between 230 and 250 pounds. In both surveillance photos, he was wearing a black baseball hat with white lettering that said “COOGI.”
