Video: Man attempts to rob Portsmouth 7-Eleven at gunpoint

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth police are looking for two men in connection with an attempted armed robbery that happened at a 7-Eleven last weekend.

According to police, one man entered the building, showed a hand gun and demanded money from employees. A second suspect stood outside.

Police received a call about the incident around 3:25 a.m. from the 7-Eleven on Frederick Boulevard.

A man in surveillance footage released Monday is seen pointing a gun at a store employee before running out the door.

Police say the armed man was alerted by the subject outside. No one was hurt during the incident, and nothing was taken.
