Passengers escape serious injury after car strikes utility pole, splits in two

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two people were able to escape serious injuries after their car hit a utility pole in Pittsfield and literally broke in two over the weekend.

According to Pittsfield police, the accident took place in the early morning hours Saturday on Baker Road. The whole rear end of the car broke off in the accident, but the two people inside the car suffered only minor injuries.

“It’s obvious they were lucky by the looks of the vehicle that broke in two,” the department posted on their official Facebook page.
