VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Red flags have been posted at area beaches in Hampton Roads warning swimmers of rough water conditions.
Officials tell WAVY.com that the red flags were issued to all area beaches in the Virginia Beach area yesterday and they have not been lifted as of today.
If you can’t swim well, it’s best not to take the chance on braving the surf when red flag warnings are in place. If you do plan to get in the ocean while the red flags are up, listen to lifeguards.
