CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The second day of the Children Today Leaders Tomorrow STAR Football Camp featured some NFL and Norfolk State University football players.

Detroit Lions Cornerback Don Carey, Washington Redskins Linebacker Lynden Trail and several players from the NSU football team joined in on the camp.

For the seventh year, more than 150 children have the opportunity to attend a three-day football camp for free, courtesy of Chesapeake Sheriff Jim O’Sullivan.

O’Sullivan, Carey, Trail and the NSU players, came together to offer the kids advice, friendship and constructive examples of leadership and success — both on the football field and in the community.

The camp continues Saturday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14.
