Currituck County citizens may soon appeal proposed flood hazard information

CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — Currituck County citizens will soon have a 90-day period to appeal proposed flood hazard information presented on the preliminary flood maps.

The information was released on November 30, 2015.

The appeal period will begin following published notices, between June 28 and July 5.

Any Currituck County owner or lessee of real property who believes their property rights will be adversely affected by the proposed flood hazard determinations may appeal.
