Suspects crash stolen vehicle during police chase

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY)- Two suspects fled the scene after crashing their stolen vehicle into a parked car and leading the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s office on a car chase into the City of Hampton.

Lt. Dennis Ivey said units were dispatched to the Tiger Run area at 5:40 a.m. for a suspicious person. A homeowner reported two black males, wearing gloves, rang his doorbell twice before driving off in a silver BMW.

The vehicle was later spotted at a 7-Eleven parking lot on Hampton Highway by a York-Poquoson sergeant. As the sergeant pulled into the parking lot, the vehicle pulled off and sped away. The suspects fled the scene after the vehicle hit a parked car in the first block of the Timberline Drive area.
