According to police, an infant was found wrapped in a “Colours” brand, red, short-sleeve polo shirt inside of the Lillian Vernon warehouse on Dec. 21, 1996.

The shirt the infant was wearing featured a logo with the words “Sport Athletic Champion.” Police released two digitally reconstructed photos of the polo on Tuesday.

The infant in the case was a girl with black hair, police say. Officers named the baby Hope and laid her to rest just over a year after she was found at Rosewood Memorial Park.

They’re hoping that seeing these images now may be what someone needs to come clean.

“Maybe the mother, after all these years, maybe her conscious is getting to her. Maybe she spoke to a friend,” said Public Affairs Officer Tonya Pierce.
