LITTLESTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — A young girl and a man are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Adams County.
Police responded to a shooting in the first block of James Avenue in Littlestown around 4 a.m. Sunday.
According to police, a father, who has not been identified, shot his 9-year-old daughter and his wife, before turning the gun on himself.
The young girl is dead. The wife is recovering in the hospital. According to officials, she is expected to recover.
Witnesses tell abc27 they heard arguing around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, they remembered the little girl who they say brought smiles to many.
“She was always saying hello. She always wanted to play with my dog. Always practicing soccer in her backyard,” said Deborah Berger, who lived near the family.
The names of the victims have not been released. A motive for the shooting is also unknown.
