Human remains found at construction site in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Police is investigating human remains that were found at a construction off of Willow Glenn Circle.

Police say emergency dispatchers were called June 8 at around 1:09 p.m. for a report of bones that were found by contractors in the 3700 block of Willow Glenn Circle off of Bennetts Creek Park Road.

The bones have been determined to be human remains, and police say an investigation is ongoing. It is unknown how old the remains are or if the area could have been an old burial ground.
