SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – A weak “tornado on water” was captured on Loon Lake Saturday, June, 4, according to the National Weather Service in Green Bay.

The waterspout was captured on video by Gerald Urban. The National Weather Service posted a video still on its website.

The weak tornado happened north of Shawano Lake, about 7 p.m.

The NWS says there was no damage.

“The waterspout (or tornado on water) was associated with a shower that did not produce lightning. The shower formed along a boundary (wind shift) which likely provided the rotation required to produce the weak waterspout,” reads a post on The National Weather Service Green Bay Facebook page.
