Man faces several drug charges after traffic stop in Dare County

DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A man is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in Dare County last week.

On June 2, the Dare County Narcotics Task Force was working on a cocaine investigation.

During the investigation, the task force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Jesse Lee James, of Kill Devil Hills. The traffic stop led to James being charged with felony possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine and felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.

James was taken to the Dare County Detention Center for processing. He is being held in lieu of a $60,000 secured bond.
