Woman arrested for allegedly stabbing boyfriend in the head with scissors

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Suffolk woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the head with scissors.

Police say on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 900 block of Brooke Avenue for a reported assault. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, a man, who advised police that his live-in girlfriend had stabbed him in the back of the head with a pair of scissors following a verbal altercation.

The victim sustained non life-threatening injuries. He received medical treatment on scene and refused to go to the hospital.

The girlfriend, who police identified as 32-year-old Mindica W. Hill, left the scene before police arrived. She was arrested on Thursday and faces charges of felonious assault and assault and battery to a family member.
