HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — The National Park Service is offering free admission for fourth graders to parks and federal lands for an entire year.

The offering is part of the park service’s “Every Kid in a Park” initiative, which was announced last year.

Current fourth graders going into fifth grade are eligible to get free admission this summer.

Third grade students who are rising fourth-graders will be able to sign up beginning in September.
