NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth man charged in three separate robbery cases was sentenced to nearly 11 years in prison.
Sherrod Cannon pleaded guilty to three armed robberies at 7-Eleven stores in Portsmouth and Chesapeake in February. Authorities say the robberies all happened within a 17-day period in 2015.
The robberies occurred at a time when Portsmouth had nine armed robberies in the span of the one month.
Cannon was also ordered to pay $731 in restitution and to serve five years of supervised release following his sentence.
