Car fire in Gloucester sends two people to the hospital

GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police and Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue responded to an accident that resulted in a car fire on Route 17 North, Sunday morning.

Dispatch says that the emergency call came in around 10 a.m.

According to AVFR, two people were transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

There are no other details at this time.
