Kam Chancellor’s Bam Bam Spring Jam kicks off this weekend

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Seattle Seahawks defensive star Kam Chancellor, who grew up in Norfolk, graduated from Maury High School and played college football at Virginia Tech, is back in his hometown this weekend.

Kam returned to host his 7th annual Bam Bam Spring Jam — and he’s brought plenty of friends.

Local families are invited to attend the community cookout. The event is free and open to the public and kicks off at 12 p.m. Saturday at Town Point Park.

On Saturday night, Kam will host his annual celebrity basketball game. Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, Kam’s Seattle teammates Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman, Antwan Bethea of the 49ers, EJ Manuel, Michael Vick and Kyle O’Quinn of the Knicks are also expected to appear. Allen Iverson will be making his coaching debut.
