Two men injured after shooting in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating a double shooting in Norfolk Friday night.

According to Norfolk Police, dispatchers received a call at 11:27 p.m. reporting a gunshot victim in the 900 block of East Liberty Street. When police arrived on scene, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

At 11:33 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Wilson Road, where they found another man in a parking lot with a gunshot wound.

Detectives believe the second person was shot on East Liberty Street and fled the location on foot before he was found on Wilson Road.

Both men were transported by paramedics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in serious condition.
