NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Virginia Beach man was sentenced to 16 years in prison on Thursday for his third drug conviction.
According to court documents, Myles Eugene Crandle, 33, was arrested by Virginia Beach Police with a stolen handgun in August 2015. Later in the year, Crandle was arrested by Virginia State Police for selling over 50 grams to another drug dealer. Evidence then showed that the two were involved in multiple deals involving thousands of dollars of heroin.
The second dealer, Henry Lee Giddens, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin and to possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on April 27.
Court documents also show that Crandle was convicted on federal drug and gun charges in 2008.
Crandle pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin and being a felon in possession of a firearm in February 2016.
