NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Unsealed court documents have revealed new information for a Norfolk school administrator accused of taking indecent liberties with a child.
A grand jury certified sex crimes charges against Gary Jordan in late March.
A spokesperson for Norfolk Public Schools says Jordan has been placed on administrative leave from his role as assistant principal at Madison Alternative Center.
The unsealed documents show that Norfolk Police are going through computers at the school, as well as Jordan’s personnel files.
In January, Jordan allegedly sexually propositioned a student in his office, and asked her to come to his house after school. She did not go, the warrant states.
“The victim did not attend school the next day because she was afraid. When she finally came back to school on Friday, the victim stated that [Jordan] saw her and told her “I’m gonna get you.” It was at that point she told her teacher what had happened,” the investigator wrote in the warrant.
The school resource officer also told a detective that Jordan had a similar incident with another student, but it was not reported because the alleged victim was 18 years old, according to the warrant.
A man identified himself as Gary Jordan over the phone, but hung up 10 On Your Side’s Lex Gray identified herself.
Jordan’s trial is scheduled for August 11.
