61-year-old man robbed, carjacked on Cary Ave. in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A 61-year-old man was robbed and carjacked in Norfolk over the weekend, according to police.

Daniel Hudson with Norfolk Police tells 10 On Your Side that officers were called to the 1500 block of Cary Avenue at 3 a.m. on May 15 for a robbery.

A 61-year-old man at the scene told officers that an SUV passed him and stopped as he was unloading his car, a two-door Silver Nissan Sentra.

One man got out of the SUV and pointed a gun at him, while the other took his personal property from his pocket. This second suspect then jumped into the 61-year-old’s Nissan, and the two suspects fled the scene.

Police have not located the car, and are still searching for the two suspects.
