KENNESAW, GA (WAVY) – Off an assist from Ashmore Standing, Megan Cameron scored the winning goal in the final minute of overtime, and gave Old Dominion a 11-10 win over Detroit in the Atlantic Sun Tournament Championship game Sunday evening.

It’s the first ever A-Sun title for head coach Heather Holt’s team, who secured the program’s first ever NCAA tournament bid with the win. It’s also the program’s first conference championship since their CAA title back in 1995, when Holt was the starting goalkeeper.

Standing (out of Cape Henry Collegiate in Virginia Beach), the A-Sun Player of the Year, led the Monarchs with three goals, and the assist on the game-winner. With the win, the Monarchs drew Towson for their first-round NCAA tournament matchup, which will be played in Baltimore on Friday, May 13.
