Norfolk man sentenced in sex trafficking case involving 15-year-old

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Alvin Norlee Moore III of Norfolk, was sentenced Tuesday to over 15 years in prison for the sex trafficking a minor.

According to court documents, The 29-year-old forced a 15-year-old runaway girl to prostitute for him in the Hampton Roads area. The victim was able to escape from Moore, and was found by her family. Her family then contacted Virginia Beach police.

Moore was arrested by the VBPD, but was transferred to federal custody on a criminal complaint.

Moore pleaded guilty back in January of 2016. He was also sentenced to 15 years of supervised release.
