ATF offering reward in Hampton gun and jewelry theft

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Investigators are eager to arrest the two people responsible for stealing guns and jewelry from a Hampton business, Tuesday morning.

The thieves drove a vehicle into the Treasure Chest Pawn & Gun in the 4900 block of West Mercury Boulevard to gain entry. They stole four firearms and a large amount of jewelry, then fled the scene, according to Hampton Police.

The vehicle is a four-door 2012 Honda, according to Sgt. Matt Bond.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a $1,500 reward, which will be matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), for a total reward of $3,000.

The reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this crime.
