Suspect breaks into 2 Norfolk restaurants

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police are working to identify a suspect that broke into two restaurants in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to police, the crimes happened between the hours of 12 – 3 a.m. Police say the suspect broke into Charlie’s Cafe at 1800 Granby Street, and then the Chick-fil-A at 1600 Monticello Avenue. In both cases, the suspect broke out the glass of the front doors and broke into the cash registers.

The suspect was only able to get money from the Charlie’s robbery. According to Chick-fil-A’s manager, there was no money in the restaurant’s registers.
