Trial set for former Va. Beach employee charged with embezzlement

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The trial for a Virginia Beach employee charged with embezzlement has been set for June 15.

John White waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Friday.

White, a former Communications and Information Technology inventory specialist, allegedly stole electronics from the city last year.

He was arrested and charged with embezzlement in December, and released on bond.
