Authorities find rabid cat in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The health department has confirmed that a cat that attacked several people in the area of Campostella/Border Road had rabies.

On April 17 and 18, the cat attacked customers in the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store and Easy Go Market. The cat is black and white with a broken front paw. The cat may have been rabid since April 10.
