VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach grand jury indicted a man accused of robbing and sexually assaulting a woman near a hotel.
Police say Ronnie Anderson and a juvenile robbed the victim outside the Wingate by Wyndham on Burton Station Road in late February.
Anderson allegedly forced her into her car and sexually assaulted her, before forcing her to withdraw money from a nearby ATM.
The woman escaped, and ran to a nearby 7-Eleven for help.
Anderson and the juvenile were later arrested at an Econo Lodge on Northampton Boulevard. On Monday, Anderson was indicted on charges of forcible sodomy, object sexual penetration, robbery, abduction and conspiracy.
He is due back in court on June 13.
