4 displaced following duplex fire in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Fire officials are investigating a duplex fire that occurred in the 400 block of 21st Street, Tuesday night.

According to dispatch, the emergency call came in at 7:57 p.m. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they saw smoke showing from the second floor of the building.

The fire was officially out at 8:28 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The four residents, two that live upstairs and two that live downstairs, were displaced as a result of the fire. They are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
