NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two men were caught on surveillance cameras trying to break into the Park Avenue Market at 1024 Park Avenue in Norfolk on March 17.

Police released footage from the store’s security cameras today, and in of the clips, two men wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks or bandannas are seen walking outside of the market.

Another clip from the store’s cameras appears to show one of the two suspects without a mask, talking on a cellphone.

Norfolk Police spokesman Daniel Hudson says the two men tried to break-in by kicking in the gated door. The two were not successful, but Hudson says they damaged the gate in the process.
