Suspect arrested in Lindenwood Avenue homicide

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the 800 block of Lindenwood Avenue.

Malcolm Pittman, 26, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Norfolk Police took him into custody in Chesapeake Thursday with the help of the Chesapeake Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

According to police, dispatch received the emergency call shortly before 3 p.m. Police arrived on the scene and found the man — identified as 21-year-old Myquan McCloud — near the road with a gunshot wound.

McCloud was pronounced dead on the scene.

Pittman is currently being held at Norfolk City Jail without bond.
