HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The case of a Hampton woman accused in a deadly hit-and-run crash will be moving to a grand jury.

Amber Dawn Davidson was charged in a crash that happened last November on Interstate 64. Virginia State Police say she hit Jonathan Verner, who was driving a motorcycle, and kept going.

Verner was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Doctors ended up taking him off life support.

Davidson, 29, waived her right to a preliminary hearing in court on Wednesday. She is facing charges including involuntary man slaughter.

If convicted, Davidson could face 20 years in prison.
