Va. Beach Bank of Hampton Roads branch robbed at gunpoint

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Police are looking for man who robbed a Bank of Hampton Roads branch at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Employees reported to police that a black man wearing a red bandanna entered the bank at 281 Independence Boulevard with a handgun and demanded money. Police received a call about the robbery at 1:32 p.m.

The suspect fled the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.
