AMBER Alert called off: Missing Tennessee teenager found safe, father in custody

An East Tennessee AMBER Alert has been issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on behalf of the Bristol Police Department for 13-year old Brooklyn Morrison. -

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WBIR) — A spokesperson with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Thursday afternoon authorities safely recovered Brooklyn Morrison, and non-custodial father is in custody.

Police say 13-year-old Brooklyn Morrison was picked up from her school on Wednesday by her father, Mark Morrison. An update from the police department says the two were spotted on foot in the area of Exit 7 off of Interstate 81 in Bristol, Virginia.

The Bristol Tennessee Police Department plans to charge Mark Morrison with custodial interference and a violation of order of protection.Investigators say Morrison and his daughter were last seen in a gray, 2004 Ford F-150 extended cab pick-up truck. The vehicle has Tennessee licence plates Y9360N, and a “Realtree” sticker in the rear window.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says Morrison has a violent criminal history with convictions for carnal knowledge of a child 13 to 15-years-old, robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
