NNPD reminds community of spring break curfew

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) —  Newport News police is looking to remind the community that there is a curfew in effect for kids during spring break.

Anyone under the age of 18 cannot be out past 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

The curfew is 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day on Friday’s and Saturday’s.

City Council passed stricter rules last spring — after a 13-year-old and 17-year-old were both shot and killed over spring break last year.
