Threat causes brief evacuation of Bethel High School

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A bomb threat called in to Bethel High School caused a brief evacuation Wednesday morning.

Diana Gulotta with Hampton City Schools says the threat was called in around 11 a.m.

The threat was found to be non-credible after police officers and fire crews investigated it.

Gulotta says the students were outside of the school, before the scene was cleared. The students are back inside and the school has resumed normal operations.
