Hot Dog King in Newport News burglarized, suspect at large

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who broke into the Hot Dog King on Jefferson Avenue.

Newport News Police said this occurred on March 18 around 6 a.m. Surveillance video shows the suspect breaking the register open and taking the top-half of the register.

Detectives said the side door of the building was broken open with a large cinder block.

The business was all locked up and the security alarm was set at the time of the burglary.
