No one hurt in vehicle fire on I-264

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – No one was hurt when a vehicle started on fire on I-264 Saturday morning, according to Virginia State Police dispatchers.

Norfolk Fire-Rescue, Virginia State Police, and VDOT responded to the call around 8:50 a.m. Saturday.

They found a vehicle on fire on I-264 eastbound before the Military Highway exit.

Traffic was backed up past the Broad Creek Bridge due to lane closures.

It’s not clear what caused the fire.
