Laura is a proud alumna of University of Miami where she majored in Music and Broadcast journalism. A Massachusetts native, Laura’s love for music started in Middle School and her experience singing at the Boston Red Sox game with her choir is a day she will never forget. Go Red Sox! Laura’s passion for journalism also began at young age when she began writing children stories. In the fifth grade Laura’s book, “Chicken Pox Explosion” was published. The day she walked into Border’s Books for her first book signing was one of her proudest moments. She continues to read to children on the east coast and whether it be reading hard news copy or reading her children’s book, she thrives in telling a good story.
Over the last several years, she has been an advocate for Alzheimer’s disease, AIDS awareness, suicide prevention and Childhood cancer awareness.
Laura spent her childhood summers traveling to Europe to visit her Italian relatives. When she is not in the studio or reporting on a story, you will find Laura exploring the beautiful pockets of Hampton Roads. She enjoys spending time with her large Italian family and friends, singing, whipping up a new recipe, traveling, and spinning. She is thrilled to serve the Hampton Roads community and looks forward to getting to know the amazing people who call this place home.
