PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Gail Alexander-Wright is a heart attack and stroke survivor. Those health emergencies changed her to the point that she is on a mission to educate people, especially women, about heart disease and its warning signs. Gail is a national spokesperson for the American Heart Association. She serves on the local ADA board as well. She says many women put themselves and their health last. Gail also highlights what a literal killer stress can be for everyone. That is what caused her heart attack and she does not want the same thing to happen to anyone else.
