Two at-large after Isle of Wight ‘Operation Crackdown’ busts

ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (WAVY) — The Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects after a joint investigation with Virginia State Police Meherrin Drug Task Force.

Still at-large from the investigation, dubbed “Operation Crackdown,” are Robert L. Hamlin, also known as “Ham Bone,” and Paulette Spratley.

Spratley and Hamlin are both wanted on three counts each of distribution of crack cocaine.

“Operation Crackdown” resulted in the arrests of 14 people and the seizure of more than $23,000 in illegal drugs as well as $47,000 in cash and other assets.

The Sheriff’s Office says Operation Crackdown included the issuance of 50 federal indictments on 16 different people, who were involved in the sale and distribution of drugs including cocaine and heroin.

The Sheriff’s Office released a list of the 16 people Tuesday, as well as their mug shots.
